Repair Café Chandler is a free, quarterly community event where residents come together to repair broken items instead of throwing them away. With the help of skilled volunteer fixers and shared tools, we work side-by-side to extend the life of everyday items, reduce waste, and strengthen our community.

A Repair Café is a welcoming, hands-on gathering focused on repair and learning. At each event, community members bring broken or worn items from home and work with volunteer experts to fix them — free of charge whenever possible.
Items commonly repaired include:
Small household appliances
Lamps and electronics
Clothing and textiles
Bicycles
Toys and small furniture
Other everyday items
Even when an item can’t be fully repaired, participants often learn what went wrong and how to fix it in the future.
Repairing instead of replacing:
Reduces waste and keeps usable items out of landfills
Saves money for individuals and families
Conserves resources and helps lower environmental impact
Builds community by sharing skills and working together
Repair Café Chandler isn’t just about fixing things: it’s about reconnecting people with the value of repair and the knowledge already present in our community.
Repair Café events are held once each quarter
Repairs are provided free of charge
Volunteer fixers share their skills and guide repairs
Tools and basic materials are provided when available
Repairs are done collaboratively—you help fix your own item
Each event is unique depending on the volunteers and items brought in, but the goal is always the same: learn, repair, and connect.
Repair Café events are always free, but they are made possible through donations and volunteer support. Contributions help cover tools, supplies, venue costs, outreach, and coordination—and also support the Chandler Lions Club’s year-round service programs.
There are many ways to support Repair Café – Chandler:
Bring an item to be repaired at an upcoming event
